Legacy in Motion: A Danced Dialogue at the Francophonie Summit*

Participating in the Francophonie Summit in Paris, representing Madagascar, was a great honor; it was an opportunity to demonstrate how choreographic art can transcend borders and cultural barriers. My choreographic approach goes beyond performance—it becomes an act of transmission and empowerment. Through the work presented at CENTQUATRE, each movement embodied not only a heritage rooted in the past but also a future interwoven with the individual expression of each dancer.

When I choreograph, my aim is to activate a living dialogue between generations, languages, and cultures. The body becomes a vessel of stories, a meeting place without borders. This piece, performed at CENTQUATRE-PARIS, came to life as a celebration of cultural resilience, showing that art is more than mere representation: it is a bridge, a way to celebrate the richness of our differences while embracing the unknown and the multiplicity of our diverse identities.

Creating a work of this scale for such an international event was both a challenge and an accomplishment. I took on this challenge with passion and rigor, honoring diversity and affirming the importance of art as a a legacy in motion and a powerful medium for dialogue and connection.

Through this performance, I continue to nurture and expand my ambitions, placing art at the heart of the dialogues and transformations that drive our societies forward.
