originally from Pistoia, Italy
Irene Paci was born in Pistoia, Italy and received her early dance training at AXE Dance School and Ballet, under the direction of Antonella Tronci.
At the age of 19, she moved to Paris to continue her studies in ballet, jazz, modern and contemporary dance at Institut de Formation Professionelle de Dance Jazz Rick Odums, performing at the same time, with the respective youth companies Les Jeunes Ballet Jazz and Le Jeunes Ballet Moderne de Rick Odums.
In 2015 Irene moved to NYC and furthered her training at The Ailey School, where she graduated in the Certificate Program.
She broadened her training by participating in programs and intensives such as Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance Forsythe Improvisational Techniques Program, Henny Jurriëns Stichting Amsterdam Summer Intensive, and Les Étésde la Danse Paris Festival.
Additionally, Irene has attended many workshops throughout Europe and the USA; her favorites include working with Yin Yue, Andrea Miller, Limón Dance Company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Marc Du Bouays, Samuel Wuersten, Miki Orihara, Bruce Taylor, Yen Ching Lin (Akram Khan Dance company), Iñaki Azpillagakram (Ultima Vez Company), Cristiana Morganti.
She is a member of Grazia Capri Company and Gwen Rakotovao Company, and in 2019 joined the company Cross Move Lab, directed by Guanglei Hui. While in the US, Irene has also performed works by artists such as Darshan Bhuller, Alessio Silvestrin, Alex Ketley, Alvin Ailey, Earl Mosley, Brice Mousset, Darrell Moultrie, Amy Hall.
She appeared in Brittain Ashford’s Music Video I Could Have Danced All Night, and her credits include a collaboration with the French company N’kialeko Dance Project, in the realization of the video clip Leko Ler, choreographed by Joel Luzoloand Tidgy Chapeau, and a collaboration as dancer/model with Carolina Teixeira, fashion designer of Parsons School of Design, in the realization of the project Ornianthropology Dance.
